Will there be character "Classes"?

In character creation, will there be an option for class selection or race selection? Like maybe past professions or childhood backgrounds that give unique interactions within the world. Also, will there be leveling up or stat points like in Bethesda games? Maybe instead, you kind of build your character throughout the game instead of choosing a class or stats.
